Been looking after grandkids most days these holidays. Earlier in the week we took them to Kirkley Hall
They have a great zoo. I took my Fuji X-T2 along with my 56mm 1.2 lens. I wasn’t really after “doing a shoot”. It was habit carrying my camera.
But, after the animals – and the gift shop of course – we went for deserved cuppa and slushes. For once my youngest granddaughter Olivia was not the bundle of energy she normally is…so had some time to grab some portraits of her. And oldest Chloe of course.
So finally – after 7 years..she sat still!!
I realise that (once again) I have fallen a bit behind in keeping all my many followers (ha ha) up to date with my photographic journey.
Marla is a great model (Marla Pandora to giver her her full title) who can be found here
She hails from bonnie Scotland but often “tours”. She had booked into what she thought was an apartment – but turned out to be one of the many new student blocks springing up all over Newcastle.
This is where my new 16mm 1.4 Fujinon lens really came into its own. The apartment looked massive on the advert…but a tad smaller in reality! But fortunately the light was good and it was split into two levels, so we were able to get some variety during the shoot.
Here are some of the images I took. Marla is a great model and I highly recommend her.
A few of the images may show some boob or nipples so maybe NSFW or under 18’s.
Images all shot on a Fuji X-T2 with 16mm 1.4 lens. A couple of the portraits (the close ups were on my 56mm 1.2.
I used a mix of natural light wherever possoble..or an LED light. I find this less “brutal” than flash as there wasnt really room for a softbox.
Any comments welcome and please share.
